Anthony (Totonno) Pero was the first pizzaiolo at the famed Lombardi's (first licensed pizzeria) in America in 1905 when it opened. He established Totonno's in Coney Island after leaving Lombardi's in 1924. Presently the place is operated by his grandchildren. They use handmade mozzarella cheese, fresh dough made daily, and finest ingredients imported from Italy in their famous pies. The place has featured in many outlets such as "Ugly Delicious", "Somebody feed Phil", earning many accolades "Only God Makes Better Pizza", "Best Pizza in New York, Possibly the World", "The Ultimate", etc.. The place uses the original receipes passed down from Totonno himself.
Long waits on the weekends, prefer to visit on weekdays. Cash-only!

- The place is packed with tourists on the weekends, locals go for lunch on the weekdays. Margherita is their famous pie but white pie (may not in the menu but check with the server) is equally delicious. Some think it may even be better.
