Haystack Rock

Located at Cannon Beach roughly 80 miles west of Portland, Haystack Rock is a dramatic 235-foot basalt sea stack along the Pacific shoreline. During low tide, visitors can walk up to the landmark to observe colorful tide pools filled with sea anemones and starfish. It also serves as a protected marine sanctuary and nesting site for Tufted Puffins and other seabirds.
