Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

Located just northeast of Denver, the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge spans nearly 15,000 acres of prairie, wetland, and woodland habitats. Visitors can take an 11-mile self-guided wildlife drive to spot bison herds, deer, raptors, and prairie dogs against a dramatic mountain backdrop. History
