History
Founded in 2000 by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, a global spiritual leader, poet, and peace activist, Deer Park Monastery was established to spread the teachings of mindfulness and peace. It serves as one of the few places in the West where individuals can experience living in a traditional Buddhist monastic community.
