The Kalalau Trail is an 11-mile trek along Kauai's famed Napali Coast, offering dramatic ocean vistas, lush tropical valleys, and remote beaches. Starting from Ke’e Beach, the strenuous trail leads hikers through breathtaking coastal scenery within the Nā Pali Coast State Wilderness Park. Day hikers often explore the first two miles to Hanakāpīʻai Beach, while full-trail backpackers require permits to trek all the way to Kalalau Valley.

Quick tip: Reserve your park entry or shuttle reservation well in advance and wear sturdy footwear suited for muddy terrain.
