Descanso Gardens is a 150-acre botanical retreat located in La Cañada Flintridge near Los Angeles. The grounds showcase diverse themed landscapes, including a Japanese garden, North America's largest camellia collection, rose gardens, and native oak woodlands. History
Descanso Gardens began as the private estate of newspaper magnate E. Manchester Boddy, who purchased the land in 1937. The gardens opened to the public in 1953 and have since become a cherished community landmark, known for their seasonal blooms and rich history.
