Located a short drive south of Orlando in Lake Wales, Bok Tower Gardens is a serene National Historic Landmark set atop Iron Mountain. Visitors can wander through picturesque rolling gardens, explore scenic walking trails, and discover the historic Pinewood Estate. The centerpiece is the 205-foot Art Deco and Gothic Revival Singing Tower, which broadcasts daily carillon bell concerts across the landscape.

History

Edward W. Bok, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and humanitarian, dedicated the Bok Tower Gardens to the American people in 1929 as a token of his appreciation for the opportunities he had been given. The Gardens were designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. to fulfill Bok's vision of a place that would 'touch the soul with its beauty and quiet.' The centerpiece, the Singing Tower, houses one of the world’s finest carillons, with daily bell concerts.

Quick tip: Time your visit to catch one of the live carillon recitals held daily at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
