History
Consecrated on September 2, 2002, the Cathedral replaced the damaged St. Vibiana's Cathedral as the mother church for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. It was designed by the renowned Spanish architect Rafael Moneo to embody the diverse spirit of the city.
