Leo Carrillo State Park

Located along Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway, Leo Carrillo State Park features 1.5 miles of picturesque coastline filled with coastal caves, reefs, and tide pools. Visitors can enjoy popular outdoor activities including swimming, surfing, windsurfing, surf fishing, and camping under giant sycamore trees. The park also offers back-country coastal hiking trails with scenic ocean views.

History

The park is named after Leo Carrillo, an actor, preservationist, and conservationist who served on the California Beach and Parks commission for eighteen years. His efforts greatly contributed to the preservation of California's natural beauty.
