Pelican Harbor Seabird Station

Located on Biscayne Bay along the 79th Street Causeway, Pelican Harbor Seabird Station is a non-profit rehabilitation facility dedicated to rescuing and treating injured brown pelicans, native seabirds, and local wildlife. Visitors can learn about coastal conservation efforts, meet resident animal ambassadors, and take part in educational programming and boat tours. The station also serves as an active wildlife hospital admitting injured animals daily.

History

Established in 1980, Pelican Harbor Seabird Station has been at the forefront of marine wildlife rehabilitation in Florida. Over the years, it has treated thousands of seabirds, contributing significantly to wildlife conservation in the region.
