The Highline is a 1.45 miles long new york city park built on an elevated section of a disused freight rail line on Manhattan's West Side. Visitors encounter nature, art, design, flowers, foliage, old train tracks and, a beautiful cityscape on the trail.
A lot of activities are available to play, create and learn together in the park. Each year, Friends of the High Line creates fun and innovative opportunities for people of all ages to experience the park in a new way.
Wear comfortable footwear you can do lots of walking in. The best way to experience the High Line is to simply walk and explore.
- Check out the Docent-led public tours offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from May to October, on Wednesday mornings from May through December 15, and on Saturdays from November to April. Check for more events: https://www.thehighline.org/events/
