Opened in 1990 on Thanksgiving Day, Bubby's started as a home-baked, made-from-scratch pie place selling pies to restaurants and neighbors out of a small kitchen at the corner of Hudson and North Moore St. in Tribeca. Customers enjoy its simple and fresh comfort food, Bubby’s is dedicated to cooking traditional American food with thoughtful ingredient sourcing and an “off the commercial food grid” philosophy. The mission is to raise awareness of the beauty of American food - its ethnic contributions and regional and geographic abundance and to celebrate the patchwork of American culture.
