Good Enough to Eat was founded in 1981 by Carrie Levin with the goal of serving "good old-fashioned American food". The eatery is a huge success for its all-day, bountiful breakfasts where everything is made from scratch. True to their Farm to Table mission, all of their bread, cakes, cookies, and pies are made on-site with all the raw ingredients from local farmers and merchants, including wild-caught Pacific shrimp, grass-fed beef, humanely raised, antibiotic-free chicken, eggs from pasture-raised chickens. While cooking traditional food, they are also in the vanguard of sustainability and leading the way for others to follow.
