History
Diablo Lake Vista Point exists because State Route 20 was built to cross the North Cascades and provide access to the area’s reservoirs and mountain scenery. The overlook gives travelers a safe pull-off to view Diablo Lake, which was created by the Diablo Dam on the Skagit River as part of the region’s hydroelectric development.
