Ocracoke Lighthouse

Completed in 1823, the historic Ocracoke Lighthouse stands as the second-oldest operating lighthouse in the United States and the oldest in North Carolina. Located in Ocracoke Village, this whitewashed brick tower reaches 75 feet into the sky and continues to serve as an active aid to navigation.
