Harry P Leu Gardens

Harry P. Leu Gardens is a lush 50-acre botanical sanctuary situated along Lake Rowena near downtown Orlando. Visitors can explore paved winding trails leading through diverse plant collections, including expansive rose gardens, historic camellias, a butterfly garden, and towering tropical palms. The property also features the historic Leu House Museum, offering a glimpse into early 20th-century Florida life.

History

The gardens were donated to the City of Orlando in 1961 by Mr. Harry P. Leu and his wife, Mary Jane. They had purchased the property in 1936 and subsequently traveled the world, bringing back many exotic plants and varieties to cultivate in these gardens.
