Perched atop the southern tip of the Point Loma Peninsula, Cabrillo National Monument offers breathtaking views of San Diego's bustling harbor and skyline, as well as the Pacific Ocean. Named after Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, who landed at San Diego Bay in 1542, this site commemorates the first European to set foot on what is now the West Coast of the United States.
