- Visitors can hike, bike, walk, or take a free walking tour (Thursdays and Sundays only!) of the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge. Check out the new Golden Gate and Pacific Overlooks near the Bridge for beautiful vistas. The west sidewalk of the bridge is reserved for riding bikes only. It opens during weekends and busy times on weekdays. Parking is difficult, especially during weekends and holidays near the welcome center, but one can find parking nearby.
