The New Mexico State Capitol

Known as 'The Roundhouse,' the New Mexico State Capitol in Santa Fe is the nation's only circular state capitol building. Designed to resemble the Zia sun symbol when viewed from above, the facility seamlessly blends government functions with a public art gallery. History

Completed in 1966, the New Mexico State Capitol was designed to embody the spirit of New Mexico and its diverse cultural heritage. It replaced the original capitol building that was built in 1886 and represents a blend of traditional and contemporary architecture.
