History
Bergamot Station was originally built as a trolley car station in 1875 and later became a stop for the Red Line trolley traveling between Los Angeles and Santa Monica. After the trolley service ended, the space was repurposed into an arts center that officially opened its doors to the public in 1994, becoming an important fixture in the Westside arts scene.
