Davenport House Museum

Built in the early 1820s by master builder Isaiah Davenport, the Davenport House Museum stands as a premier example of American Federal-style architecture. Its dramatic rescue from demolition in 1955 sparked the creation of the Historic Savannah Foundation and launched the city's historic preservation movement.
