The Bailey House Museum

Located near the entrance of ʻĪao Valley in Wailuku, Hale Hōʻikeʻike at the Bailey House is housed within an 1833 mission residence. Operated by the Maui Historical Society, the museum features authentic Hawaiian artifacts, 19th-century oil paintings, and historic photographs. Guests can also explore a garden filled with native plants and browse locally made items in the gift shop.

History

The Bailey House was built in 1833 and served as the home of missionary Edward Bailey. It is one of the oldest structures on Maui and has been preserved to reflect the life and times of early Hawaiian missionaries.
