Visitors can also view notable sculptures honoring First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and FDR's faithful dog, Fala.
History
The memorial was dedicated in 1997 and was designed by architect Lawrence Halprin. It is unique for its portrayal of FDR seated in a wheelchair, a powerful representation of his strength and resilience despite his disability.
