Meteor Crater Natural Landmark

History

The Meteor Crater was formed by a nickel-iron meteorite that struck the Earth at approximately 40,000 miles per hour. It was first identified as a meteorite impact site in the late 1800s, and since then, it has been studied extensively by scientists and geologists.
