Sinnott Memorial Observation Station is a small stone-and-concrete overlook on the rim of Crater Lake that gives visitors one of the park’s classic, straight-down views into the caldera. History
The Sinnott Memorial Observation Station was built as a rustic-style visitor overlook and interpretive shelter on the rim of Crater Lake, designed to help people experience and understand the park’s geology and scenery. It is named for Oregon congressman Willis C. Hawley Sinnott?
