Standing at 6,643 feet, Kuwohi—formerly known as Clingmans Dome—is the highest point in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A steep, paved half-mile trail leads visitors from the parking lot to an iconic observation tower with sweeping 360-degree views. The summit area also features visitor information and direct access to the Appalachian Trail.
