The Broad

Located in Downtown Los Angeles, The Broad is a premier museum housed in a distinctive honeycomb-like building designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro. It features an extensive collection of postwar and contemporary artworks from world-renowned artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons, and Barbara Kruger. General admission is free, offering guests seamless access to rotating exhibitions and landmark modern installations.

History

Founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad, the museum was designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler and opened on September 20, 2015. The Broad was created to house the Broad's collection of over 2,000 works of contemporary art.
