Travel Town Railroad

Located in Los Angeles's Griffith Park, Travel Town Railroad offers visitors a chance to explore an extensive collection of historic locomotives and vintage rail cars. Guests can take a ride on the popular miniature train that circles the perimeter of the outdoor museum grounds. History

Travel Town was founded in 1952 by Charley Atkins, a recreation supervisor for the City of Los Angeles. It began as a project to give Los Angeles children an opportunity to learn about railroads in a fun, interactive setting. Over the years, it has collected and preserved numerous historic railway vehicles and artifacts.
