Walt Disney Concert Hall

Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is an iconic landmark in Downtown Los Angeles known for its striking stainless-steel exterior and world-class acoustics. Serving as the main stage for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the venue hosts orchestral, jazz, and contemporary concerts throughout the year. Visitors can attend a live performance or freely explore the public rooftop garden and exterior walkways.

History

Opened in 2003, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is the fourth hall of the Los Angeles Music Center. Lillian Disney, widow of Walt Disney, made an initial gift of $50 million in 1987 to build a performance venue as a gift to the people of Los Angeles and a tribute to Walt Disney's devotion to the arts.
