Central Park is an iconic 843-acre first major landscaped public park in the United States. It is the most visited (more than 42 million) and the most filmed location in the world. The visitors can enjoy scenic hills, meadows while taking a walk. There are ice-skating rinks, strawberry fields, ball fields, Belvedere castle, a zoo, a beautiful bow bridge, fountains, a wildlife sanctuary, Elm tree path (the mall), Cleopatra's needle, a large area of natural woods, and the Delacorte Theater; an amphitheater that hosts the "Shakespeare in the Park" summer festivals. Central Park is one of the best outdoor venues for huge concerts. Around 980,000 people attended the Garth Brooks concert in 1997 making it "the most attended concert" in its history. The Central Park Carousel, one of the largest merry-go-rounds in the US was installed in the park in 1951. The area where Central Park now stands was once covered and surrounded by glaciers about 12,000 years ago. If you want to experience both nature and arts, Central Park is the place to be.

The Highline is a 1.45 miles long new york city park built on an elevated section of a disused freight rail line on Manhattan's West Side. Prospect Park is a 585-acre largest public park in Brooklyn. The main attraction of the park includes a 90-acre long meadow, the picnic house, the prospect park zoo, the pre-existing home of Edwin Clark Litchfield, the prospect lake, and the old arches & bridges. The park also boasts a large number of historic buildings such as a restored 1912 carousel, the concert grove - also known as the Oriental Pavilion, the historic eighteenth-century Lefferts House, the Music Pagoda, the colonnaded Grecian Shelter. The park also has sports facilities including seven baseball courts, a tennis center, a basketball court, a soccer field, and much more. The park zoo is a 12-acre zoo, presently offers children’s educational programs, is also engaged in the restoration of endangered species populations, runs a wildlife theater. The zoo houses about 630 animals and with over 300,000 visitors annually visiting the zoo. This park has beautiful gardens and a boat club. There is also 2 ice skating center. The trees are beautiful besides the charming lake.
