Expert notes
- The museum mainly showcases the ten galleries chronologically, starting with Walt Disney’s early days, including his childhood, early successes, challenges, humanitarian services, family life, post-World War II production ventures, and his demise with interactive displays and videos. Admire the most impressive Disneyland model in the center of the room with its attention to detail, Steamboat Willie. There is also a massive collection of Mickey Mouse merchandise and exhibits, Walt’s personal mini-train he used to ride in his backyard, and sketch art from multiple movies. Be prepared to do a lot of reading for a most immersive exhibit experience. Complimentary wheelchairs and compact strollers are available. Metered parking is available in front of the museum across the lawn. The museum offers guided Storyteller Tours and exceptional team-building activities, including workshops, scavenger hunts, and special guest speakers for a group of 10 or more.
