Fort Dupont Park

Fort Dupont Park is a 400-acre National Park Service greenspace situated in Southeast Washington, D.C. Named for the Civil War fortification built to defend the capital, the park offers around 10 miles of hiking trails, peaceful picnic areas, and historic earthwork sites. It is also a popular local venue for bird watching, recreational sports, and seasonal outdoor concerts at its amphitheater.
