The Wreck of the E.C. Waters
4.5FreeDiscover the historic abandoned steamboat remains on Yellowstone Lake's Stevenson Island.
The Wreck of the E.C. Waters consists of the decaying hull and rusted boiler of a 1905 steamboat resting on the shores of Stevenson Island in Yellowstone Lake. Built by businessman E.C. Waters to ferry park tourists, the vessel was abandoned in 1907 after he was banned from operating within the park. Today, the atmospheric ruins stand as a unique piece of early park history visible from the water.
