Sand Dunes National Park

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve features North America's tallest dunes, towering over 700 feet against the backdrop of Colorado's Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Visitors can hike the vast dunefield, sled or sandboard down massive slopes, and splash in Medano Creek during late spring. The park also provides exceptional stargazing opportunities as an official International Dark Sky Park.
