Museum offers free admission to anyone 18 and under, members of police and fire departments, active military, veterans, and accompanying family members. Students, seniors, and EBT cardholders get discounted entry. Visitors with ten or more people in the group qualify for a discounted price.

Located steps from the Magnificent Mile, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago features thought-provoking visual arts, sculpture, and performance pieces created since World War II. The multi-level venue showcases rotating exhibitions by internationally acclaimed and emerging artists alongside a striking architectural spiral staircase. Visitors can also enjoy an on-site sculpture garden and museum store during their visit.

Quick tip: Visit on Tuesday evenings when the museum stays open late until 9 PM and offers free admission for Illinois residents.

Expert notes

Museum offers a complimentary coat check. Large bags, food, and drinks are not allowed inside the galleries, and Strollers are permitted inside. Marisol Restaurant at the museum is open and accepts reservations, an excellent place for a pit stop for snacking/meal.
