History
Lake Hollywood Park, officially known as the Hollywood Reservoir, is part of the larger Mulholland Dam and Reservoir system, which was built in 1924 to provide water to the growing city of Los Angeles. The area around the reservoir was developed into a park to allow public enjoyment of the natural beauty and enhance community recreation.
