The “Arepa Lady” is a Colombian cuisine serving Arepas (corn cakes) and other signature dishes. It started as a late-night food cart decades ago by Maria Piedad Cano, an immigrant from Colombia, to support her children. Born in Medellin, Colombia, Cano began her career in the courtroom, as a lawyer and, eventually, judge. She came to the USA to start a new life away from drug lord Pablo Escobar's terror. In the beginning, she used to serve arepas on the street cart, the food was so flavorful that foodies started writing about it, a cult started! The arepa itself is crisp on the outside, and moist and creamy on the inside.
Foodies love this place, Arepa de choclo & arepa rellena are a must-try with Sangria.
- There are four different Arepas: Arepa de Choclo (most famous), Arepa de Queso, Arepa de Rellena, Arepa de Tela with garlic sauce, pink sauce, or pineapple sauce.
- There is also a wide selection of Empanadas, Colombian burgers, Chicharron, Street corn, Chorizo, and much more.
